A TRIBUTE FROM PETER L. TUCKER

Salia Jusu-Sheriff was a dependable friend, a considerate man, and a man of courage and sound judgment.

As a Minister in the SLPP Government, he was popular and widely regarded as the most competent Minister with high level of integrity, the only politician I know who gave financial assistance to the man who was put up to contest against him in an election. In the difficult days following the 1967 elections the SLPP was leaderless and in danger of disintegration. He boldly stepped in the front line and gave the SLPP hope and confidence. His death is a matter of deep sorrow to me personally, and my heart goes out in profound sympathy to his widow, children and all members of his extended family. He served his country well.
