THE WEST AFRICAN MONETARY AGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The West African Monetary Agency (WAMA) located in Freetown, Sierra Leone, is an autonomous specialized Agency of ECOWAS responsible for the furtherance of monetary cooperation among member states within the sub-region.


Applications are invited  from suitably qualified candidates for the post of:

Bilingual Telephonist / Receptionist

Applicants must be  Sierra Leonean or Nationals of other ECOWAS member States resident in Sierra Leone.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Operating telephone /fax, receiving and making official telephone calls/fax messages, ensuring telecommunication equipment are properly maintained, maintaining records of all incoming and outgoing calls, receiving official correspondence, as well as other duties that may be assigned.

 

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must be holders of West African School Certificate, BEPC or equivalent with minimum of 3 years experience in switchboard operation.  Proficiency in English and French is highly desirable.

 

Remuneration

Salary and conditions of service are competitive. (Point of entry is G2 step 1)

INVITATION FOR TENDER FOR THE INSTALLATION OF ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE PACKAGE


The West African Monetary Agency (WAMA) is a specialized autonomous body of ECOWAS responsible for the furtherance of monetary and economic integration process of the 15 member states in the sub-region.

The West African Monetary Agency (WAMA) hereby invites tenders from interest parties for the provision of an accounting software package to meet its operational needs. 

The accounting software package should have the following features;

- The License should be open and allow for at least ten concurrent users;

- It should have a proper after sales and maintenance service programme with Standard Service Level Agreement (SLA);

- The software should be user friendly suitable for a  nonprofit making organisation;

- The software should be flexible to suit the operational practicalities of the organisation;

- The software should have a strong system security;

- The software should also be flexible to allow for changes when the need arises;

- The software should be able to produce basic accounting reports: Trial Balances, Individual Cost Element Details, Basic Income and Expenditure Statement, Balance Sheet, Fixed Assets Register, Cash Flow, Reconciliation Schedules and other customized reports;

- The Software should have a cost centre accounting;

- The software should have Pay Roll features Individual Pay Slips; Master Sheet, Reconciliation Sheet, Summary Sheet, and Statutory Deductions;

- Provident Fund Provident Fund Investment reconciliation;

- Leave Schedule;

- Medical Expense Analysis;

- Stock valuation at months end;

- The software should have a variance analysis features Budget vs. Actual

- the software should have a proper backup and restore system as well as maintenance schedules;

- The software should have multi-currency features;

- The software should have strong internal control features such as multi-level users and audit trails; etc.

- A system with approval work flow would have an added advantage.

Scope of work

i. Install and commission the operation of the accounting software to meet the operational needs of the Agency;

ii. Conduct training for the Technical, Finance and Administrative staff;

iii. Commission and handover the system.

Completion Period

The installation and commissioning is expected to be completed within 2 months from the date of award of the contract and payment of mobilization.
