African Minerals (SL) Limited requires the services of Security Officers for its operations at Pepel and Tonkolili.



Successful applicants will be responsible for guarding, patrolling, or monitoring of premises to prevent theft, violence, and to provide safe work environment.


Patrol work and camp premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows and other company property.

Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.

Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.

Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

Be first to respond to emergencies such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using appropriate force when necessary.

Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.

Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours when others may be asleep.

Report to management of rule infractions or violations.

Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.

Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations and to provide personal protection.

Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.

Drive company vehicle if licensed and qualified to patrol company property.


Monitor and adjust controls that regulate building systems, such as air conditioning, furnace, or boiler.

As this role is required by day and night the successful person will be required to work rotation shifts. 



Public Safety and Security Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations for the protection of people, property information and operations.

Customer and Personal Service
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

English Language
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Law and Government
Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, and the democratic political process.

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as writing reports , managing files and records Use of computers will be an advantage as will knowledge of other office procedures and terminology.

African Minerals (SL) Limited require the services of Health & Hygiene Nurses for it projects at Pepel and Tonkilili. 


Working with the local community within the confines of these areas applying and developing strategies and plans to reduce and control the spread of preventative diseases and infections. Provide education and awareness campaigns for the local based community on good health and hygiene practices.


Medical and Occupational Health:

In consultation with local community, community leaders and Public Relation officers develop health strategies to prevent & reduce the spread of tropical diseases;
To develop programs that help local community to improve their overall health;
Promote good health and hygiene practises that direct and indirectly improve health of all persons in the immediate area;
Develop programs that may include water drainage, mosquito defogging and other activities to reduce the spread of malaria in and around the local areas.
Provide initial medical advice in the event of emergency;
Support any local and community based activities that direct support the community water hygiene programs to reduce the spread of water borne diseases
Make regular drinking water checks where applicable ensuring sewage and water separation
Provide statics to the site base medical personnel on programs and improvements


State registered, qualified nurse with licence

Thorough grounding in tropical disease management and remote area experience

Good English language skills (speech and writing) and report writing skills

Efficient diagnostic ability

Basic computer literacy
