The Human Rights Commission of Sierra Leone is an independent institution established by an Act of Parliament (Act No.9, 2004) and mandated with the task of promoting and protecting human rights in Sierra Leone. Applications are invited from suitably qualified Sierra Leoneans for the post of Drivers;

Job Location: Freetown with frequent travel to the provinces.

Reports To: Human Resource Officer

Job Purpose and Basic Responsibilities

The driver will work under the supervision of the Human Resource Officer and will have the following tasks:

Drive Personnel as directed by the officer in charge
Ensure the vehicle is road worthy at all times through regular checks
Maintain and keep accurate record on vehicle log book
Be able to clean the vehicle at all times
Assist in the dispatch of letters and other documents
Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time

Academic Qualification:

A school leaving certificate indicating completion of form five or JSS III in a recognized secondary school. Must have a valid driving license. Any other technical certificate could be an added advantage.

Competencies:

Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines, excellent communication skills, proven ability to work as part of a team and without supervision. Must be prepared to work out office hours and to travel extensively.

Work Experience: Must have at least three years of work experience with a reputable organization, must have an extensive experience in driving in rough terrain.
