Ambassador Famah Joka-Bangura Turns a Grand 80 Years of Age today

One of Sierra Leone’s longest serving career diplomats who is a Positive Female Role Model to many upcoming Sierra Leonean women, today reaches a milestone age:- 80 years old. Ambassador Mrs. Famah Joka-Bangura was one of the selected few African women appointed as Ambassadors representing their countries after Independence.

Mrs. Joka-Bangura served Sierra Leone diligently with an unblemished record throughout her entire career as a distinguished Sierra Leonean diplomat at the United Nations (New York), in London, France, Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Switzerland, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Mozambique. Today, at age 80 years, she is definitely one of the glowing candles that can be proudly pointed at as a means of illuminating Sierra Leone’s narrative History.

Awareness Times newspaper joins all her family, friends and well-wishers to wish her a Happy Happy 80th Birthday today.
