At yesterday’s sitting, the attention of the House was alerted by the Deputy Majority Leader of the ruling All People Congress party Hon. Suffian Kargbo for the necessity of approving nominees for Board Members of the newly incorporated SLBC. Rev. Agnes Veronica Koroma from the Women’s Forum Parliament, Chief Alimamy Bockarie of Koya Chiefdom, Lawyer Easmon Ngakui Esq. of the Sierra Leone Bar Association and Mr. Morlai Conteh of Peninsular Youths Group were approved by the honorable House of Parliament to take the responsibility as Board Members of the Corporation.
Hon. Claude Kamanda of the APC representing Constituency 95 Western Rural District congratulated the nominees especially Reverend Veronica Koroma for being a religious woman and urged them to work assiduously to ensure objective media coverage.
