It was seen as a means of burnishing and promoting the credentials of President Koroma in the international arena. Foreign Minister Zainab Hawa Bangura, who has now been named as being one of those who inspected the ‘Baa Nya Fakei’ NASSIT ferries before they were corruptly mal-purchased went along with Mike ‘Tyson’ Schulenburg to the UN in New York to happily announce regime’s ‘sacred cow’ was charged for corruption. The sacred cow (aka Haja Afsatu Kabba) vehemently protested her innocence but it was drowned out in the cacophony of burnishing Mr. President’s image. Now, the allegations have taken a strange twist.

State House is now being implicated in the multi-million leones corruption scam according to one of the protected witnesses who testified, hidden safely behind drawn curtains, like ‘A-Ginna-Musa’ mask devil.

Haja Afsatu continues to plead her innocence with vehemence but just like State House is now embroiled in a 419 international kidnap mess, so now a new corruption mess has slurred State House’s image because regardless of how Haja Afsatu pleads innocence, the records will show that a witness has said State House was where the hundreds of millions of corrupt cash was taken from Parliament; all carried in a travelling bag.

This makes us remember the old Creole saying that when you draw a rope lying out from a bush, the rope will draw the bush along and a leopard (leppet) might come out of the bush to engulf you.

Indeed, the bush leppet dey na tong (The bush leopard is now inside the town). Let the show go on...!
