Alimamy Mansaray a Presidential police bodyguard living at Murray town, Alhassan Bangura of 60 Milton Street Murray town and also a Mines Monitoring officer and one Ignatius Thomas unemployed and living at Goderich  Village, were all three, on May 31st 2010 ordered to be remanded in custody at Sierra Leone's maximum security Pademba Road Prisons, after their maiden appearance before Magistrate H.H Sandy of Court No 1A to answer to three  count charges of conspiracy to commit a felony, false imprisonment and assault relating to the unlawful arrest of an Irish businessman at Hotel Bintumani last month.

The State's Prosecution led by Lawyer M.S. Seray-Wurie is alleging that on the 17th May 2010 at Bintumani Hotel at Aberdeen the accused persons conspired together with other persons unknown with intent to rob an Irish National by the name of Gerard Mulcanry, whom they assaulted and then unlawfully and injuriously imprisoned him in a vehicle with registration number ABE 040 for a period of up to two hours against his wish.

Defence Lawyers C.F. Edwards and S.K. Koroma pleaded for bail which was objected to by the prosecution on the grounds that the matter is a serious one and that they might interfere with the prosecution witnesses; an argument upheld by the Magistrate who ordered them all to be remanded in prison and adjourned the matter to today, 3rd June 2010.
