The famous TV show, yesterday Wednesday 9th June 2010 came to a grand and successful end with two Kenyan Universities who locked horns to take the Grand Prize and the prestigious silver-ware. The quiz lasted for one hour; show live on the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC).

In the battle, Africa Nazarene University fiercely engaged the Egerton University at 6.00pm. Unlike Africa Nazarene, Egerton University had previously won the Zain Africa Challenge, giving them a favourite position and allowing them to take the prestigious University prize of $50,000 and $5,000 for each team member.

Since the fourth season is almost over, the battle of brains has been very popular amongst students and faculty members with the TV programme being well received by audience. ZAC offers students and the university an opportunity to shine, show off your students and their knowledge to the public, while earning valuable grants for the University and the participants.

One of the most beneficial aspects of the program is the opportunity for the students to meet other smart, like-minded individuals. The Pan African nature of the programme emphasizes people to people connections. It has been found that participants make life-long friendships and learn a great deal about those from other regions, cultures and countries.

Over the weeks, 42 Zain subscribers have won many Nokia N97 mini phones courtesy of the Home Viewer Game. The final three phones were up for stake yesterday and those who successfully answered the questions posed during the game are going to receive the phones.
