The acting Editor of Peep, Mr. Christopher Koker was yesterday granted bail in sum of Le10Million on his own recognizance by Magistrate Davies-Cole of Court No. 11 where Koker is facing initial two-count charges for criminal and defamatory libel against Sylvia Blyden, Publisher of this newspaper.

Taking the Witness Stand yesterday, Dr. Sylvia O. Blyden was led in evidence by her lawyers James Fornah Sesay Esq. and Sulaiman Kabba Koroma Esq. as she recounted how she never knew Koker in person before he published against her what she is alleging to be highly defamatory materials. She described herself as an honourable person of high moral character, good merit and very upstanding in the society; who has received and continues to receive numerous accolades from various sectors of the society including a high National Honour of Officer of the Order of the Rokel from no less a person than the President of Sierra Leone in April 2007. She informed that she engages in civil activism that has earned her many admirers.

The matter was adjourned to next week Tuesday July 6th 2010 when certain documents are expected to be tendered in court.
