In Sierra Leone, Notorious Burglar Remanded at Pademba Road Prisons

One John Sawilu said to be a notorious robber on Monday 19th July 2010 was dragged before Magistrate Bankole Shyllon of Court No. 3 on charges of burglary and larceny.
The particulars of offence read against him stated that the accused on Friday last week at No. 27 Hill Station in Western Freetown broke and entered into the dwelling house of Mr. Phillip James Alieu and stole one lap top computer valued at Le 2m, a pair of foot wear valued at Le 35,000, some DVD plates and other household items all totaling Le2.1m. The accused on the same date broke and entered into the dwelling house of one Sheka Mustapha of the same address and made away with a Nokia phone valued at Le355, 000.
No plea was taken by the magistrate as he was refused bail and sent on remand as the matter was adjourned to the 26th July 2010.
