Sierra Leone Gets New Television Station

In just few months after the transformation of the national broadcasting and television station into a cooperation which was officially launched by the United Nations Secretary General His Excellency Ban Ki-Moon, Sierra Leone has again been blessed with a multi-channel television station known as Capital Cable Network Television (CCNTV). The new multi-channel television station is expected to be officially launched in August this year.

Addressing a cross section of newsmen over the weekend, the Station Manager Capital Cable Network Television Akie Caulker said the CCNTV will provide 24 hours multi-channel television service to the nation. He revealed that the service is a six-channel provider with very rich programmes on both local and international sports, children’s educational programmes, instructional training, adult education, music, drama, videos, comedy, African movies and talk shows among other.

He disclosed that an initial two months’ of free air time will be given to customers. He ended by saying that the new CCNTV will be youth friendly employing a good number of youths in the city as according to him presently about 40 (Forty) youths are being employed.
