In Sierra Leone, Step Mother Stabs Son to Death

Ten (10) yearsí old Moses Jemoh became a victim of domestic violence and cruelty to child in the hands of his step mother over the weekend at Aruna Street in Kenema, Eastern Sierra Leone.


The Step mother whose name was given on Wednesday 11th¬†August 2010 by police media boss, ASP Ibrahim Samura as Hannah Tucker reportedly used a kitchen knife to stab Moses to death on the chest in a farm. According to ASP Samura, police report from Kenema claim that Hannah Tucker invited the innocent boy to accompany her to the farm with the wicked intention to kill him by way of vendetta against his mother who is said to be a mate to Hannah.¬† Samura said Hannah confessed to the Kenema Police that since their husband, Mr. Jemoh got Mosesí mother, Baby as second wife years back, she had not got peace at heart from jealous tendencies because Jemoh was showing more love to and concern for Baby and her son.¬† Hannah then nurtured grudge for Mosesí mother but had often been looking for ways to get rid of Baby without success. In her confession she told the police that to execute her long nurtured evil aim, she translated the venom against the poor boy only to get at Baby.


ASP Samura said police were alerted by a certain man who claimed to have arrived at the scene and saw the whole ugly scenario.  Hannah is presently in police custody helping in their investigations.
