Sierra Leone Students Return from China prepared to Heed President's Call

Fourteen Sierra Leonean students who recently completed their higher university education in diverse disciplines in China, in a letter dated 18th August 2010 have heaped praises on the Government of Sierra Leone especially the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports for the opportunity accorded them.


According to the former President for Sierra Leone Student Union in China Dr  Alphaeus T. Koroma, they are back home to heed to the clarion call of President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma. He assured that even before coming back home, they have set up plans to exploit the best of their abilities in contributing towards nation building and development.

The fourteen graduates Dr.  Alphaeus T. Koroma, Alhaji B. Gogra, James E. K. Tarawalie, Jusu Ngobeh, Yusufu F. Kamara, Delphine D. B.Caulker, Miatta B. Keikura, John Farmer, Alimamy A. Kargbo, Princess M. Lansana, Aminata Kebbie, Mathew T. Nyuma, Mohamed T. Kamara, and Alhaji Mustapha Javombo proudly returned home with prestigious awards from renowned Chinese Universities in Changchun, Wuhan, Shandong, Beijing, Shanghai,Tianjin, Nanjing, Nanning, Wuxi, and Wuhan.

This reporter is reliably informed that their stay in China was as a result of collaborative efforts between the Sierra Leone Government and the Peoples Republic of China.
