In Sierra Leone, Zainís Affordability Is Second To None

There is no doubt that the products and services of Zain affect the life of every Sierra Leonean. It affects the economy of this country and it affects our relationship to the outside world. The world of telecommunications from Zain has greatly evolved in the past few years, and now such facilities are available that make personal and business communication easy and effective.

Zain has got tremendous capacity for transmission of digital signals over their network. They have an explosion of products in computers, in telephone equipments, in faxes, in voice mail, in all of the products that just 10 years ago we as consumers in Sierra Leone couldnít even imagined.

Zainís ĎFambul Tariffí has been introduced for subscribers to talk more and pay for less. This applies to all customers automatically and all calls are billed per second. The schedule is as follows:

12pm-5pm               9 Units

 5am-12am             12 Units

12am-2am               9  Units

2 am -5 am      Free ( No Charge)


Zain is also pleased to announce that off-net calls (From Zain to other networks) are now charged at:


15 units per minute to other network

All calls are billed per-second.

Also, kindly note the following SMS charges:

Zain to Zain:                2 units per SMS

Zain to Off-net:             3 units per SMS

Zain to International:   8 units per SMS

Zain also offers Unlimited Calls¬†from 8am Ė 6pm on Wednesdays for the whole Ramadan month

At the launch of the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs 2010), Telecommunications giant Airtel became yet again the headline sponsor of the event, signaling the telcoís profound commitment to African music and youth culture following its purchase of Zain Africaís business operations earlier this year.

This spectacular event will be held at the EKO EXPO Hall, Lagos on 11 December 2010, focusing the spotlight on Africaís most outstanding musicians, from the heart of one of the continentís most vibrant cities. Present at the unveiling ceremony were dignitaries like¬† Alex Okosi Ė Vice President of MTV base Africa; Rajan Swaroop Ė BhartiÖ..; M.I.
