In Sierra Leone, Amnesty International Co-ordinator meets with members in Kenema

The Campaigns and Growth Coordinator of Amnesty International-Sierra Leone (Al–SL), Solomon Sogbandi has told members in Kenema to voluntarily continue working for the organization on humanitarian grounds.
In a meeting held at their No. 16 Sannoh Street in Kenema last weekend, Mr. Sogbandi impressed on the importance of their membership cards and the payment of subscriptions which according to him, qualified an individual to vote or to be voted for in the national general assembly. He also pleaded with the membership to be united and continue to be loyal to AI by working in the interest of the organization. He also disclosed plans for October 10, 2010 which according to him is declared to be the World Death Penalty Day.
The campaigns and growth coordinator thanked the Board members, more especially Mr. Margao in the Eastern region who serves as regional Liaison officer for the National Executive Council (NEC) for the past two 92) years.
Sylvester Sedie Kallon, the regional adviser pointed outlined some commitments to be made towards the development of the organization in the country like the recognition of membership and their commitments among others.
