In Sierra Leone, IIC Pays Le 159Million Insurance Claim to OSIWA

In an open display of their commitment to customersí welfare, the International Insurance Company (IIC), one of Sierra Leoneís leading Insurance Companies which commenced operations in 2003, on Monday 6th¬†August 2010 presented a cheque of Le159,000,000 as their honouring of a motor insurance claim made by Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA), at their Bathurst Street head office in Freetown.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of IIC, Mr. Henry A. Macauley, noted that such a venture was in consonance with their demonstration of integrity and sustainable operation as a company in insurance business. He said a similar claim of Le343,000,000 was also paid in 2009 to clients.¬† He assured of expediency in their operational mandate as he said the claim which was being paid to OSIWA was processed within 4 days.
Receiving the cheque on behalf of OSIWA, the Finance & Administration Director based in Dakar, Senegal, Madam Ndey Aita Sarr noted that as an NGO they were grateful to the IIC for responding to their claim within a very short period of time after the theft of the companyís vehicle.¬† She further lauded the professionalism that was portrayed by IIC while assuring that their organization is always ready to insure with them. She used the opportunity to call on other corporate organizations to insure with the IIC as they have proved that they will always establish confidence in the minds of their customers just as they have done now with OSIWA.
