Publisher of the Awareness Times newspaper is presently on vacation in London. Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden left the shores of Freetown on Friday, 10th September 2010 to attend the Book Launching of her 89 year old, famous Grandfather's Autobiography. She is expected back home after a week.

Whilst on vacation, as usual, the Awareness Times Newspaper remains alive and will continue to provide the appropriate information, education and entertainment to its wider readership without fear or favour. During this period of her vacation, Bampia James Bundu has taken over the hot seat of Acting Publisher of the Newspaper. Bundu is the Chairman of the Awareness Times Staff Association and the National Organizing Secretary of the Sierra Leone Reporters Union. He has proved himself as an industrious and dedicated staff of the Awareness Times Newspaper and Dr. Blyden is hundred percent sure that Bundu can ably represent her in her absence.

Meanwhile, veteran journalist and ace writer, Sayoh Kamara has been contracted to serve as Acting Editor. Mr. Kamara is the Founding Editor of the Awareness Times on its inception in 2005 and was Editor-in-Chief up till 2007 when due to his academic commitments at the Mass Communications Department of Fourah Bay College, he had to take an exit. Mr. Kamara however has continually enjoyed the confidence and trust of Dr. Blyden as a committed, focused and determined worker. The Finance & Administrative Department, is as usual, headed by Abu Bakarr Issa Kamara; one of the able lieutenants of Dr. Blyden.
