In Sierra Leone, ACC, Students Sign MOU

Students from various learning institutions in the country, under the Accountability Now Clubs (ANC) umbrella, on Friday 26thÂ November 2010, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the country’s anti-graft institution, Anti Corruption Commission (ACC).
President of Accountability Now Clubs, Issac Andrew Bangura said students have learnt that corruption gravely affects development, thus the formation of the ANC with an objective to partner with the ACC and other relevant stakeholders in the fight against corruption.
“The ANC pledges itself to be at the forefront of fighting against corrupt activities,” he said.
The ANC President said top in their agenda is the holding of regular consultative meetings and sensitization activists amongst ANC members and the Commission in order to enhance the capacity and resolve of students in the fight against corruption.
ACC Boss, Joseph F. Kamara expressed the Commission’s willingness to partner with the students.
He admonished them to be committed in the fight against corruption, pointing out that with concerted efforts, corruption can be curbed.
