Kenema city will today, Friday 3rd December 2010 commission a brand new radio station.

Proprietor of the new radio, Brima Kargbo Jnr., told the Awareness Times yesterday that the new radio will broadcast on frequency modulation 103.3 (FM 103.3), noting that it will target a nationwide broadcast.

According to him, a similar project will soon be replicated in the northern part of the country in order for all the regions to benefit.

Brima Kargbo Jnr said the new radio is development focused. With the new radio, we hope to direct the minds of the people towards a positive change of attitude, he said.

He explained that the radio was established as a result of the love for his people and country. I spent ten years in Belgium and decide to come back and help develop my country, he said.

He said the new radio will provide employment for several Sierra Leoneans, especially journalists.

The proprietor said the establishment of television stations forms part of his plans.
