In Sierra Leone, PCL Wins 2010 Microsoft Award

PCL International, an IT business institution in Sierra Leone, has won the 2010 Microsoft Country Partner of the Year Award for Sierra Leone.
This disclosure was made at a press conference held on Wednesday 8th December 2010 at the SLAJ Headquarters conference hall in Freetown.
“The company was chosen out of an international field of top Microsoft partners as delivering market-leading customer solutions built on Microsoft technology,” Chief Executive Officer of PCL International, Mr. Oluwole Austin Pratt told newsmen, adding: “The Microsoft Partner Awards recognize partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions over the last year”.
According to him, this is the first in the history of Sierra Leonean IT businesses. “We are therefore proud of our accomplishment,” he said.
Mr. Pratt furthered that the award recognizes PCL International for the latter’s demonstration of effective engagement with its local Microsoft office in driving customer satisfaction, innovation, superior technology, and business impact. The CEO explained that over the past eight years, PCL has been teaming with Microsoft to deliver a wide range of IT and business solutions to various private and public sector institutions in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Ghana.
The awards were presented in a number of categories, with winners chosen from a pool of almost 3,000 entrants worldwide, it has been learnt.
Presenting the award, Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Partner Group Microsoft Corp., Allison Watson, said: “We are pleased to recognize PCL International of Sierra Leone as Microsoft’s Country Partner of the Year.” He added that: “PCL International has demonstrated the highest level of excellence and innovation by combining local market expertise with superior solutions and services that fulfill our customers’ needs”.
