Ecobank Sierra Leone has on Friday 10th December 2010 provided food stuff for pupils at the Kings and Queens Preparatory School at Benguema Waterloo.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Managing Director Ecobank Sierra Leone, Mr. Clement Dodoo assured that the bank will continue to support the school through the provisions of educational materials and food stuff.
The donation of food stuff is to contribute to adding nutrients in the children and for them to focus on their studies, he said.
“If the children are hungry, they will not concentrate on their work, and this explains why the Ecobank has intervened,” Dodoo pointed out.
According to him, the bank will not only guarantee safe keeping of people’s money but will also support pupils through the provision of learning materials, scholarships and food.
He assured that Ecobank will always be at the forefront in promoting education in Sierra Leone.
Miss Hannah Fullah of the bank’s public relations department said the bank is presently focused on feeding the Kings and Queens Preparatory School. She however assured that they will soon spread their tentacles to other schools in various parts of the country.
“Ecobank is here to promote school going pupils in Sierra Leone,” she said.
Proprietor for the Kings and Queens, Mr. Emmanuel Koroma, thanked Ecobank for the intervention, noting that it is a step in the right direction.
He assured that the school will always cherish the bank’s intervention.
