His Excellency the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma has joined family members, members and supporters of the All Peoples Congress (APC) and thousands of mourners from all walks of life, to pay tribute to the late Mr. Hindolo Sumanguru Trye, who until his death on Thursday 26th July 2012, was Minister of Labour and Social Security in the APC led government.

At the official opening of a book of condolence and civic laying-out ceremony held on Tuesday 14th August 2012 in Freetown, President Koroma paid glowing tribute to the fine qualities of his late Minister.

According to President Koroma, the late Hindolo fondly referred to as ĎGuruí, was a straight forward public officer who lived up to the true meaning of Comradeship and patriotism.

Hindolo, President Koroma stated, was not just honest and sincere to the cause of Sierra Leone, but also stood for principles that most politicians cannot fathom. He also noted that Hindolo Trye stood for Sierra Leone, adding that his departure is a loss to not just the APC but to the whole country.

He further maintained that as Sierra Leone mourns his loss, we should not forget that Hindolo was a believer and a m
an of faith who fought for the common man and woman in the street.

The late Mr. Hindolo Sumanguru Trye was born on 17th March 1953. He died on 26th July 2012 at the age of 59 years.

After the civic laying-out ceremony, the mortal remains of the late man was conveyed to the King Memorial United Methodist Church in Freetown for a befitting funeral service following which he was later laid to rest at the Ascension Town Cemetery.

President Koroma walked behind the coffin from the church to the cemetery grounds.
