Sierra Leone: AFRICA LINK INSPECTION COMPANY LIMITED

The Ministry of Trade and Industry, acting on behalf of the Government of Sierra Leone, wishes to bring to the attention of the general public especially importers that with IMMEDIATE EFFECT, the following importing documents should ONLY go through Africa Link Inspection Company for the issuance of Classification Valuation Certificate, CVC (Destination Inspection Certificate):
§ Commercial Invoice,
§ Bill of Lading,
§ Parking List, Etc
Importers should also note that ONLY CVCs / Destination Inspection Certificates issued by Africa Link Inspection Company will be used for clearance of goods at the Port.
As stated in earlier public notices, ALIC will charge 0.80% of F.O.B for all imported goods as against the 0.99% previously charged by Intertek.
The scanning fees will be US$ 50 (Fifty United States Dollars) for 40ft containers and US$30 (Thirty United States Dollars) for 20ft containers.
Scanning will ONLY be done by ALIC.
