JOINT PUBLIC NOTICE

It has come to the notice of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) and the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) that cattle normally move along the highways unattended by the owners, thereby causing a lot of problems for both pedestrians and vehicles.

We wish it to be known that it is an offence under the Road Traffic Regulation of 2011 for herding animals or cattle to be left roaming about without proper control and supervision.

Owners of cattle are therefore advised in their own interest to always guard their cattle moving from place to place in order to avoid causing accident/road crash for motorist and pedestrians or destruction to crops of farmers and other infringement against the Public Order Act.

Roaming cattle will promptly be apprehended and the owners(s) will face the full penalty of the law.

You have been warned!!
