Killed APC Youth's Mum Weeps Openly inside Kenema Court

The trial for the murder of an All Peoples Congress (APC) youth named Mohamed Taimeh 6 has on Monday 27th March 2017, continued at the Kenema Magistrate Court, presided over by Magistrate Alhaji Koroma.
Testifying in evidence in an open court, the mother of murdered youth, Madam Sarah Taimeh burst into crying as she gave a disheartened and solemn testimony, stressing that indeed the identified accused persons 1 to 6 as named; Gamor Fomba, Abdulai Quee, Gebao Gaima, Lansana Lahai, Hassan Batilo and John Samking, respectively, are responsible for the death of her son. She further identified them as those who forceful came to her house on the 17th February 2017, and took her son away.

She said, on that fateful day, the accused persons forcefully collected her son on the pretext of initiating him into poro society. The alleged abuse of the respectable Poro society by the men facing trial, is said to have seriously upset the traditional Poro chiefs in Kenema who speedily intercepted the accused and handed them over to the State authorities.
Meanwhile, speaking to Awareness Times Newspaper after the court hearing, the immediate elder brother of the late man, Mohamed Taimeh 5 disclosed to us “that the life of some members who are not secret poro society are being threatened by some unknown people who called them on phone with strange numbers." He said, the strange callers also threatened to deal with them. Mohamed Taimeh 5 therefore called on the government and international community for intervention.
Meanwhile, the matter was adjourned to Friday 31st March 2017. The Magistrate denied bail to all seven accused persons.
