Kandeh and Foday, desperate to bring their father's memory to shame
As we promised in our Monday edition, we are today bringing you the official reaction of Dr. Kandeh Yumkella to the decision of his elder brother, Foday Yumkella to support Maada Bio in the coming 2018 elections flagbearership race of the main opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP).

Kandeh and Foday Yumkella, are two brothers who are embarrassing their late father’s memory with pettiness over what seems to be firstly, a family court case for the late man’s properties and secondly, politics.

According to Kandeh, in his response written on social media dated Sunday 14th May 2017, his big brother Foday is spiritually tormented and needs Peace and so he prays for God to grant peace to his brother.

However a media handler of Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella (KKY) Movement known as Victor Lewis has been trying to spin the insult of Kandeh for his big brother Foday.

KKY QUELLS THE STORM

By.Malcol King

Sierra Leone’s finest gentleman and flagbearer aspirant for the Sierra Leone People’s Party ticket, Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella, has received enormous praise from both ruling and opposition quarters after he (KKY) succinctly quelled what media propagandists averse to his political ambition have blown out of proportion and spread all around.

Following the endorsement of Julius Maada Bio by Foday Yumkella, Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella reacted contrary to what narrow-minded individuals were expecting.

He (KKY) clearly demonstrated decency and civility as a true democrat, patriot and astute politician.

He said “I respect my Brother Foday Yumkella’s decision to endorse one of my opponents, and I urge all my supporters to respect his choice. This is what democracy is about. We must go beyond tribe, regional and other parochial considerations and make a free choice.”

The above quoted statement from Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella lends credence to the fact that he is a respecter of persons; a decent and civilized politician to say the least.

Speaking to a ruling politician who prefers anonymity on the media hype and KKY’s statement had this to say: “I wonder why such a simple endorsement was blown out of proportion and cooked up in a way to portray a negative picture of Dr. Kandeh,” she queried and furthered “But Dr. Kandeh Yumkella’s statement proves them wrong-all of them.”

Like the song goes “…they trying their best to stop our progress, with bad propaganda all in the foreign press…but if a man steal a mango or breeze blow up a woman’s dress…,” so will they continue to prankvertise KKY but to no avail!
