An educative novel titled Gomna’s Children would be launched in Freetown on Wednesday 22nd December 2010.
The novel which was drafted to reflect the history of Sierra Leone is authored by a proud son of Sierra Leone known as Siaka Kroma. He was educated in Sierra Leone, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States of America. Siaka Kroma, based in Nairobi Kenya, is already in town to launch the book that will help Sierra Leoneans and the world at large understand the history of Sierra Leone, especially during the colonial era and the participation of Sierra Leone in the Second World War.
The novel also highlights the importance of education during those periods and the disadvantages of adopting the white man’s culture in a native setting.
The occasion is expected to be graced by various distinguished personalities from various walks of life.
