For the first time in many years, the Awareness Times newspaper decided to join other Sierra Leone media houses and take a break over the long Christmas and New Year Holiday break. The newspaper normally continues publishing but this year, we had to also take a break. We are back to meet your needs for the news in January 2015 and beyond.
We wish all our readers a bright and prosperous 2015 which should be the year that Ebola is finally driven out of this land for ever. It should also be the year that a successful Vaccine will be developed for the virus as well as a therapeutic medicinal cure be uncovered.
2015 is also the year that this newspaper turns 10 years old. It was registered as a business on May 25th 2005 and licensed to operate on May 26th 2005. After office space was secured and administrative issues were settled, the first publication hit the streets of Freetown on July 12th 2005. The newspaper has never looked back; fearlessly championing issues that many refrain from handling.
Long may the courageous Awareness Times newspaper continue to live, Fast may the Ebola Outbreak end and May God Almighty continue to bless our beloved land of the Free.
